Figure 1: Public Art “LIAC 2025: Art Resonance” at UiTM Lendu, Alor Gajah Melaka “LIAC” or Lendu International Art Camp has been, and will always continue to be a brand which represents the community art practice revolving around Alor Gajah, and Masjid Tanah, specifically in the state of Melaka. The brand has created its own market demand, which is not limited to the lucrative market of exclusive art, one of the art market segments which some labelled as “Elite art for Elitist sake”, resembling the classical notion of art for art sake. LIAC continues to spearhead the aims on how art and life of the local community which are site-specific-base are bridged, positioning art as an inclusive commodity in the social system, which penetrates as a paradigm shift from art as individual luxury, to art as a collective necessity. Each and every art makers have their respective art oeuvre on approaching a divergent expression which harmonises what the exhibition title had proposed "3D Spectrum". I believe a divergent approach in todays contemporary art scene is as well equipped as its convergent counterpart.
